3 Months Old
Ethan is still not sleeping through the night. He wakes up about every 4 hours wanting to eat. He is taking 5 ounces per feeding and is growing like a weed. He is really smiling a lot and likes to be held and talked to. Mia sleeps almost 7 hours during the night. Like her mom, she needs her sleep! She takes about 4 ounces per feeding but isn't as big as her brother. It's harder to get her to smile and she really likes looking around.

Finally Home
Ethan in the hospital.

Ethan and Mia ready to go.

Our happy family!

At home.

At home.

Finally home.
Home from the Hospital
Ethan and Mia spent 20 days in the NICU. Not bad for being 32 weekers! Both Ethan and Mia take about 1 1/2 ounces per feeding. They are on Enfamil Premature 24 calorie formula but are going to switch to Enfacare 22 calorie pretty soon. Ethan weighed 5 pounds 6 ounces when he was discharged from the hospital and Mia weighed 4 pounds 8 ounces. They are still very sleepy and we have to wake them up every 3 hours to eat. They also received their Synagis shot prior to leaving the hospital. This will help protect them from RSV.

Birth Day
Wow! It happened so fast! Ethan and Mia were unexpectedly born at 32 1/2 weeks. My water broke and 6 hours later they were here. Ethan did really well. He never needed oxygen! Mia needed surfactant and CPAP for a day and a high-flow nasal cannula for another day but was never on any oxygen. Ethan weighed 4 pounds 4 ounces and was 16 1/2 inches long and Mia weighed 3 pounds 11 ounces and was 16 inches long.
