Gummy Bear

I had an ultrasound done at 12 weeks. He/she looks just like a gummy bear. I love 3-D! It's the neatest thing. Technology is great. They normally don't do 3-D this early but I asked her to get some pictures for me. She warned me that he would look a little funny since I'm so early but I didn't care. The little squirt was hiding his face, so the ultrasound tech couldn't get a good picture. I love the giant head.
My next visit will be with an OB and a peri-natologist. I'm considered high-risk with my pre-term labor. I know they're going to have me do the progesterone shots but am not sure if I'll have to do anything else. I'll find out soon! Thank you Lord for a healthy baby!

First Softball Game

Ethan and Mia had their first softball game last week. It was funny, to say the least. The kids didn't have a clue as to what they're supposed to do. It was very entertaining.
The ball passed by Mia several times. She just watched it roll past her.
Ethan was supposed to be practicing his swing. Instead, he played in the gravel.

Mia made it to first base! She was so proud of herself. We had to remind her to run when her team mate hit the ball. She didn't quite know where to run to. She was all over the field. Luckily, she made it to second in time.
Riley sat with me the entire time. She was getting bored towards the end. Each child took turns bringing snacks and drinks to each game. The highlight for her was getting a snack and capri sun after the game was over. The other players were nice enough to give Riley one even though she wasn't on the team.

Here's a video of Ethan hitting the ball. Mike was helping him bat.

Here's my leftie hitting the ball. This game was so funny! You can hear Riley in the background cheering her brother and sister on.

Field Trip

I volunteered for a field trip to the Children's Museum in Brookings before I became pregnant. As the date approached, I was double guessing my decision to go because I was 10 weeks pregnant and feeling a little queasy. I didn't want to ride in a non-air conditioned bus but I had all ready told the kids I was going and they were so excited. I sucked it up and got on the bus!
I'm glad I did because it was a fun day! I was in charge of Ethan and Mia, so it felt just like a family outing.
We spent quite a bit of time in the supermarket. They loved pretending to shop. The museum was absolute chaos with all of the kids. There were 3-4 other schools there that day. It was hard to keep track of my kids! I was very surprised that I didn't lose one of them.
They also have a weird momma pig with a ton of nipples and little piglets. Mia had fun latching the piglets on. :)
They have a t-rex outside that the kids loved. It's robotic so it moves and roars. The first time they saw it, they were scared of it.

Here's Mia's class. She is in the front row. Her teacher, Mrs. Nuebel, is in the middle row.
Here's Ethan's class. He is in the top row to the right.

Kindergarten Graduation

A couple of weeks before the kids were done with school, they held a kindergarten graduation. It was very cute.
They lined the kids up and they sang songs. Ethan and Mia were very excited to participate.

Here's the class of 2026!
They had each of the kids walk and accept their diploma.

As they walked to accept their diploma, they announced what each child wanted to be when they grew up. Mia said she wanted to be a hair stylist and Ethan said he wanted to be a nurse.
I can't believe they are done with kindergarten! This past year has gone so fast. They're growing way too fast!

So Thankful

I was lucky enough to have another ultrasound done. Here's our baby at 9 weeks 5 days. His/her little heart was beating like crazy! It was so reassuring to see our baby moving around. It's starting to sink in that we're going to be parents again. I think Mike is still in shock!

Hello, Sweet Baby!

I had an ultrasound at the end of April at 6 weeks 4 days. Thankfully, there's only one baby in there! We saw the tiny heart beat flickering away. We couldn't be more happy! We're praying for a happy and healthy 9 months.

I'm Having a Baby!

It took me five years to convince Mike to have another baby. I think he is still slightly traumatized by having 3 kids within 15 months. I'm very grateful that there's only one in there.
Here's our little jelly bean at 6 weeks. I'm now 9 weeks and am due December 5th. The kids are very excited to have another baby. I think they'll be good little helpers.

Softball Pictures

Isn't this a cute softball team? The kids have had one softball practice so far. It was pretty comical. The ball would roll past the kids and they would stop and watch it go past them. The coach would yell, "go get it" and the entire team would run after the ball. They'd hit the ball off the tee and just stand there. The coach had to tell them to run. It was so funny. Mike and I laughed the entire time.
