Party Time

We had a small family birthday party for Ethan and Mia this year. They wanted to go to the bouncy house, so that's where we went. I felt bad for not having a big party for them. With having a 4 week old and a huge Christmas celebration a few days away, I didn't have much energy to plan much else. I'll make it up to them next year.

They had fun bouncing around on the inflatables. Mike and I relaxed and sat back while they got all sweaty. It was perfect for all of us.

Oliver was really good. He just looked around at everything. It makes me nervous taking him out in public with flu season in full-swing. I hope he doesn't catch a nasty virus.

I did buy cupcakes for the twins and we sang Happy Birthday to them. I promise it will be better next year!

Christmas with the Schmidt's

Mike's parents were in town for the wedding, so we celebrated Christmas with them yesterday. We all met at Mark's house for dinner and gift opening. It was relaxing. I snoozed on the couch with Oliver while Andrea and Mark cooked. It was a nice!

The kids were chomping at the bit to open their presents. I love how excited they get. It reminds me of Christmas when I was little.

Ethan can never keep his shirt on. Even in the dead of winter, he has it off. He must always be hot.

The kids helped Mark organize the gifts into piles. We brought some presents we bought for them to Mark's house. We are celebrating Christmas with my family this year, so we left the majority of them home. It was nice not having to carry them all in.

Ethan is really into Nerf guns, so we bought the girls some so they can shoot him back!

Ethan is into Batman, so he was happy to get some Batman toys.

Riley is opening up a watch. All the kids wanted watches this year.

More Lego's. We ended up leaving a lot of the Lego's at Mark's house so they wouldn't get lost. We plan on inviting ourselves over to his house and put Lego's together every so often. Mark is a huge Lego's nerd.

Ethan is turning into a Lego nerd as well.

Do you like my new Sorel moccasins? Very cozy and warm.

Oliver's gift from Grandpa and Grandma. I love that it has his name on it.

Mike's big gift from his parents. He's been wanting this for a long time. It's the Star Wars Death Star. It's going to take him ages to put together.

It was a nice family get-together. Now, to prepare for my family Christmas. All of my siblings plus their spouses, kids, and my parents will come to Sioux Falls in a few days. We've been trying to clean the house and get groceries for 20 plus people. Not an easy task with a 4 week old. My parents are going to come and help me get everything ready. My sisters are awesome with helping as well.

Wedding Time

I can't get over how cute they look. They did very well for the pictures. They stood still and smiled when asked to. I think they all enjoyed the wedding process.

Lanny did a good job picking out their dresses. They were a cream/gold color with sequins.

Riley is getting sassy. She has the hand on her hip pose down pat.

What a lovely wedding party. They all look so nice.

What a handsome boy. He did well with all the pictures. He usually dislikes getting his picture taken.

They loved walking down the aisle. You could tell they felt like princesses.

Ethan took his job pretty seriously. The little boy spotted his grandma and was trying to go to her. Ethan kept hold of his hand.

It was time for some goofy pictures.

I was so impressed with how they did during the wedding, reception, and dance. I didn't hear one complaint. I didn't get any pictures at the dance but they danced their little hearts away. Mike and I got on the dance floor as well. A fun time was had by all.
