The Omaha zoo had a special dinosaur exhibit when we visited. They placed robotic dinosaurs throughout a walking path. They moved and made noise when you walked up to them. Do you want to know the best part? The kids thought they were real. It was awesome.
Mike and I played that to our advantage. You've got to have some fun with your kids, right? When we approached a mean looking dinosaur, we would tell them to watch out. The kids would stop in their tracks for a few moments and slowly start walking. As they got closer, they ran as fast as they could. It was so funny.
The kids still think dinosaurs are real and the mean ones eat little kids. :)
This one was especially scary. The kids ran past pretty quickly.
My favorite one was a t-rex which I didn't get a picture of. He was as tall as a house. It was a really neat exhibit!
