Ethan is still an adventurous little boy. If it can be climbed on, jumped over, or somehow broken, he will find a way. He's very smart and does well in school. It's not his favorite thing and he dislikes homework, but he does well when he puts his mind to it. He would rather be playing on the playground or in gym class than sitting in the classroom, which I know is typical at this age. He is very quick witted and will tease you right back. He has the knack for electronic devices and games. If we can't figure out how to turn something on or how the game is played, he knows what to do. He picks up on things very easily. He shows his love by getting things for people. He especially likes to get me ice water and will make peanut butter toast for his sisters and me.
Mia is a very sweet little girl. She is nice to everyone and doesn't say many mean things. She always has a smile on her face and is a happy girl. She loves to read and is good at it. She likes doing her homework and likes going to school. She gets along with everyone in school and at home. She wants to impress and please everyone and tries her hardest at everything she does. She continues to be an animal lover. She has a whole list of animals she wants to get. I keep telling her when she gets her own house, she can buy whatever she wants. She listens to whatever I tell her to do and does it the first time. She continues to be very cautious and is hesitant at trying new things. She never gets hurt! Mia shows her love by hugging, holding hands, and sitting on your lap. She likes to cuddle and would be happy doing that all night.
I could go on and on! They make me so proud to be their mom!
They had to go to school on their birthday. When they got home, they decided that they wanted Cherry Berry. (It's a frozen yogurt shop.) We had a rehearsal dinner to go to later that evening, so we went as soon as Mike got off work. I kind of felt bad because we didn't have much of a birthday celebration for them that day. They didn't seem to mind and were happy with the ice cream.
Ethan, Mia, and Riley are in their cousin's wedding tomorrow. The girls are flower girls and Ethan is a ring bearer. After we ate ice cream, we went to the rehearsal dinner. They had fun seeing everyone and running around. Their cousin, Chloe, is pictured above. Her sister, Lanny, is the one being married.
After we got home, we told the twins they could each open one present. Mia chose hers, but surprisingly, Ethan wanted to save his for his birthday party.
All of the kids are into Legos. It can keep them busy for hours. We bought Mia a Friends lego set that has horses in it. She loves it! Why are there so many little pieces?!?
Their birthday night was rather short. We got them to bed early because they have to be at the hair salon early to get their hair done. The girls are so excited to go to the salon. They love having their hair curled and fixed. It should be a fun day tomorrow!
